Although I dont live in Buxton at present, I have been a long-term resident and my family is still in the town. I am absolutely opposed to this crazy development idea. Being a returning visitor I see the town centre deteriorating, traders leaving, traffic increasing and parking gettng harder and harder. Who is going to benefit from this huge disruption (which it will be) and ultimately block of flats. Not the public and certainly not the loyal traders who already pay huge rents. This is 'not' for the people of Buxton, it is for people just trying to make money. When will people learn that excess money doesn't make most people happy - pleasant places, affordable living and most importantly a caring Community are what matter.
