I am a frequent visitor to Buxton and worry that with the proposed development Buxton will lose its identity as a spa town. Parking is already a problem and building more homes in the centre would only cause more parking problems. I am also concerned about the impact on local businesses. There already a variety of eating and drinking places available for residents and visitors. We don't want Buxton town centre turning into a mini Manchester! Planners and developers should turn their attention to the approach into Buxton from Dove Holes. Its appearance could be vastly improved with grants being made available to home owners to improve their properties. Buxton has charm in its current form and already attracts a lot of visitors. We don't want it to look like every other high street in the country! Please preserve its current identity.
