Objection

Looking at the plans for the new development, the whole plan is out of character for the Buxton area. Buxton is full of heritage, with grade 1 and 2 lusted buildings in close proximity to this development. The architects drawings show a newly designed structure, encompassing places to live, places to eat and places to drink. The developments Centric have done in Manchester along with Liverpool, stockport and stoke on Trent to name but a few appear more in keeping with their surroundings, this development will remove the historic character of Buxton. The materials shown in the pictures appear modern materials which again is not in keeping with the town centre. The planning shows reduced parking, with land near to station road, not only is this going to cause traffic issues but the demolition of Springs and the rebuild will also cause substantial traffic disruption in a small town which suffers with traffic problems on a regular basis. So, I oppose this development as it is not in keeping with the heritage of Buxton .
