I am conscious that the area concerned needs modernisation. However I am extremely concerned about the potential loss of parking spaces for locals and visitors to the town . On busy days in summer it can already be difficult to park and the number of available spaces could be dramatically reduced if a large number of the tenants of the new homes have cars. This issue will only get worse as more houses are built on the outskirts of Buxton eg at Harpur hill as these residents need to drive into town to use the shops.
