I OBJECT very strongly to the whole concept of a so called 'rejuvenation' of Buxton - I see the whole plan as a ruination of a unique town with masses of history. Nowhere is there a museum allowed for, let alone celebrated, the numbers of toilets are inadequate. Overall our town could end up looking like just any other town with the look of a modern urban jungle - why would we want to resemble somewhere like the very worst sides of Stockport? The character of the town has already been seriously eroded by the hundreds of 'featureless' new builds that have detracted from a super little town owning masses of history. They have added nothing but numbers & this town development by Centric will be the last nail in the coffin. The architects clearly do not know Buxton intimately & we should only countenance local professionals designing an improved town centre for the future of our historic Buxton. The proposed sale of the Town Hall also is a move too far - disgraceful!!
