Objection

1. I am very concerned about the material and style of the designs not fittng in with the heritage of Buxton (For example the retirement flats opposite the Spring Gardens are much more in keeping) 2. If more flats are needed - then I suggest they get built on the site by the railway currently being designated for parking with this project. That would preserve parking in the town for residents and visitors. The railway site would give much more room for parking spaces to go with the flats. 3. Using funding to improve the appearance of the Spring Gardens shopping centre and landscaping the river is a good idea. Buxton climate is not suitable to try and put outdoor seating round the river there as it would be often in the shade even when the weather is fine. SUMMARY - I think the proposal detracts from Buxton character / style and does nothing to enhance it at all. I think it should be rejected.
