The plans shown for the regeneration of Buxtons town centre are completely unacceptable and have clearly been thought through by individuals that certainly do not have the residents best interest in mind. The proposed buildings are nothing short of a monstrosity!! They are not at all in keeping with our beautiful buildings, which is where the money should be spent, to bring them back to their former glory. We also do not require any further housing or flats! There are many buildings around the town that would benefit from being renovated and the money would be far better spent in this way. Also, removing the car park and placing it further away would cause utter chaos on the roads, and is a completely ridiculous concept. I have lived in this town all my life and for it to be turned into some kind of concrete, ugly, lifeless disaster would be criminal. We've already had a McDonald's forced upon us, which again looks completely out of place and is certainly not the brightest idea if the so called government are wanting people to lead a healthier lifestyle. What an absolute mess this town is becoming and if this goes ahead it will finish it off completely. It needs to be stopped immediately
