The development is out of keeping and not in the interests of Buxton and its people. It will destroy the character of the spa town and will not provide the shops and services we need. It will take away parking for local people and tourists. We need to see Spring Gardens revitalised and better use of shop units. The shopping centre needs an upgrade, not complete removal. This development will serve financial interests of Capital and Centric, rather than the needs of Buxton. The development should not be allowed to go ahead.
