"Increased passengers" at Buxton station; "WRONG" : 60 mins. to Manchester, expensive & not attractive. Glossop/ Manchester @30 mins.+2-3 trains/ hour. Buxton, often regarded as a "wealthy" town: WRONG": "Lime" industry now employs 350 staff compared to 3500 in 1970. Numerous companies: closed or no longer manufacture in Buxton. "Uni. of Derby" failed. Political decisions dominated by Councillors who neither reside/ represent or communicate with Buxton people Proposed Town Centre PLANS do NOT represent the NEEDS of Buxton residents
