I oppose this planning application on the following grounds: Its design, visible impact, effect on listed buildings and the historical nature of Buxton in detrimental and inappropriate. The building design is not in keeping with Buxton's architectural heritage. The residential rental housing is far too dense and does not meet the needs of current residents. The living conditions of the local people will be negatively affected both during and after the development is complete, especially due to the loss of parking and shops. The development takes an asset out of community control and puts it in the hands of private owners. Their care of the development and surrounding area cannot be guaranteed. The consultation process has been inadequate.
