I hereby object to the development of rental only flats. These flats should and must be on the affordable homes scheme. The planned facing of the buildings are absolutely out of keeping with Buxton heritage, these must be much moor in keeping with an authentic Victorian look. The new shops should be of an affordable rent of local and start up businesses, after all the current mall has empty units! As for the total lack of new parking, I would estimate the need of around 500 spaces, with all the new flats, tourist and local people using Buxton. The whole redevelopment has not been thought out properly, and is just a get rich scheme at the cost of the Buxton heritage. I strongly object to this development.
