I wholeheartedly support planning application HPK/2026/0228. I welcome the architecture of the proposed buildings and believe the scheme can sit well within Buxton's historic core. In my view, the development offers a positive opportunity to contribute to the town's character rather than detract from it. I also support the scheme's potential heritage and conservation benefits. Buxton is a town of great historic importance, and I believe this proposal can help strengthen confidence in the future of the town centre while respecting its distinctive settng. The public realm and landscape elements are also important to me. I support proposals that improve the town centre environment, create better connections and make the area more attractive and usable for residents and visitors. I am pleased to see a housing mix and a move towards town centre living. Bringing more homes into the centre can help support the vitality of Buxton and contribute to a stronger, more sustainable town centre. I also support the scheme on environmental grounds, as town centre development can make better use of existing land and support a more efficient pattern of growth.
