I initially just added comments without objecting or supporting. I was hoping that the new development would greatly improve our town and create more outside space and opportunities for businesses. However, on reflection and reviewing other objections I have decided to object. What has been proposed recently is not what was promised and it will greatly compromise Buxton as a beauty spot. We already struggle with traffic, adding more residents and taking away parking will not help this. There is already a lot of pressure on the three doctors and dentists that we have in the town. There is no waiting list for NHS dentists because they have no space so private is the only option. Our hospital was nearly taken away and the closest being Macclesfield or stockport. Traffic through Fairfield road is already a problem. The construction of this will cause significant delays for those living in Fairfield and will probably impact gettng through the market etc too. Buxton will become gridlocked which it quite often does when there's even just one set of traffic lights placed in the wrong place (next to railway, Fairfield road). What is being proposed is too much for this town, we want to see improvement to the town but not something this extreme with buildings towering at 5 floors which are only for rented properties. Do better and use the space to improve Buxton for it's residents and tourists rather than trying to get more money through housing. [Page 2]
