The whole submission is a nonsense. In no way will it enhance the town or the economy. We are a spa town - not a 'new town'. The buildings will not be constructed in a manner that complements the existing original buildings and will be an eyesore for locals and visitors alike. My main concern is the car parking in the town which is already tricky. How on earth can you bulldoze the main car park and replace with a few token spots when the proposal includes so many accommodations that do not have parking? We live in a town where people need cars to get around as the public transport system is sadly lacking. This is preposterous in my opinion. Invest the money in the buildings that already exist and keep Buxton the beautiful spa town it already is.
