I strongly object to this planning application because this development is so out of character for the town of Buxton.It will change the whole ambience of the centre of Buxton turning it into an oversized residential development, more in keeping with a large town or city.We should be enhancing the rich Roman/Victorian/Edwardian heritage this town has to offer not building something that does not compliment it in any way. Due consideration also needs to be given to the disruption this is going to cause whilst construction takes place over what could be years. One other cause for concern is what will happen when (& this is generally what happens) the proposed scheme goes over the budget of 100 million pounds, I suppose the ratepayer will be expected to make up the shortfall!
