I wish to object to this planning application, as being completely wrong for Buxton for the following reasons. The long construction period will cause significant disruption to existing business. This development will absolutely dominate the town centre, and to what extent would it realistically be occupied? Loss of parking for visitors shoppers and tourists. Buxton doesn't need more retail units, a lot of retail has gone online and it doesn't need pricey flats. I think there is a glut of them in Buxton. The clear and simple option should be to redevelop the former water plant site for affordable flats and housing.
