I object to the planning request as the plans that have been put forward don't reflect the historic market town and architecture that Buxton has and should maintain. The plans come across too modern, like we should look like Manchester. We also don't require so many restaurants - what needs to happen is reduced high street rent so shops survive, and more support for our local businesses. Not 3 years or however long it'll take to 'rejuvenate' the high street, causing financial loss to businesses and the local area, and causing disruption and delays. Take our Grade 2 listed buildings, and use those as the architecture that the people of Buxton want.
