The plan to demolish the existing shopping centre is sheer vandalism, the developers have obviously never shopped in Buxton during the long winter months when the existing centre offers a warm, dry snow free environment in which local people can do their shopping. It is a disgrace that High Peak Council purchased this facility with the sole intention of demolishing it, the council should now divert their attention to filling the empty units which they have deliberately allowed to remain empty.
