I feel that this planning application is so far away from what buxton stands for, our heritage and architecture should be kept in line and improved upon we have a wonderful town which needs improving on using whats already here as a template we are a historic spa town not a trendy city centre. The plans show a urban sprawl that looks unkept on the imagery never mind what it would look like in a few years time, housing involved as well with not enough parking is beyond comprehension. The precinct we have at present may not be pretty but it is functional with better facilities toilets and better rates to attract more stores would be excellent to get tid of the stores we have to built yet another eyesore makes no sense. I feel very strongly that this application does not reflect local people's ideas of a town centre we remember how wonderful it was before all the cuts and strange planning ideas start been put into place, if this goes ahead it will be a sad day for buxton. A plan to enhance the victorian heritage would encourage tourism not just be another modern urban sprawl.
