I object to the plans for Buxton shopping centre because I believe they risk changing the unique character and heritage of the town without delivering enough benefits for local residents. Buxton's historic buildings, green spaces, and distinctive identity should be protected rather than overshadowed by large-scale redevelopment. Any regeneration should prioritise preserving the town's heritage, supporting independent businesses, improving existing facilities, and ensuring that local people have a genuine voice in shaping Buxton's future.
