Objection

I wholly object to the planning application for the following reasons: Inadequate consultation - Since the public was last consulted, the plans have drastically changed which includes a massive increase in the proposed residential units from 250 units to 327 units plus a terrace of 5 town houses. It is proposed these units will all be rented out directly by Capital & Centric, instead of the Buxton community and local area residents having the opportunity to buy to live in. 2. Overdevelopment - the proposed increase in residential properties is wholly inappropriate for the centre of a market town known for its beautiful historic architecture. 3. Parking - The proposal to significantly reduce parking in the Springs area of town by around 45 per centre is unviable for the Buxton community and visitors to the town. This reduction in parking is likely to impact on disabled people, particularly as a reduction in blue badge spaces is proposed. 4. Leisure/shopping - It appears the proposed Springs development is more like a densely populated housing estate, rather than a leisure/shopping centre with small amount of housing as originally proposed.
