I wholeheartedly support planning application HPK/2026/0228. The current area feels tired, and Spring Gardens is stuck in the 80s. In that context, I welcome a scheme that has the potential to bring real change and help Buxton move forward. Looking at other Capital & Centric projects gives me hope that Buxton could become something fantastic in the future. I support the architectural approach and believe the proposal could bring a much-needed uplift in the quality and appearance of the town centre. I also support the wider regeneration benefits, including improvements to the public realm and landscape, which could make the area more attractive and better connected. Given Buxton's heritage and conservation importance, I think it is important that any new development is handled carefully, but I believe this proposal can contribute positively to the town if delivered well. I also support the potential benefits for the town centre economy, with the opportunity to increase footfall, improve the offer and help strengthen Buxton's future commercial role.
