I strongly oppose the new plans for buxton town centre. Buxton is a spa town the same as bath and harrogate which draws in numerous tourists each year for the old world charm and victorian architecuture. To change the town centre into a wooden clad faceless centre will be completely out of character and would probably see tourism drop which means less income for town so even more empty shops. Spend the investment redeveloping the town centre buildings back to their former glory. Renew the victorian street lighting in the gardens to make them more safè for the public and convert the land that was bought for the hospital into a car park and make the roads around the town centre permit holders.
