Siting a brand new council offices on prime land is a costly mistake. A small shop front for public access would suffice. Council offices should use existing buildings at Kents Bank. This site could also enable some commercial development for housing. The museum and library should be included in the Town centre or at the Town Hall. The proposals have no congruence with Buxton's Heritage. They are simply standard urban solutions proposed as seen in Stickport and Media City. Plans include more coffee shops and bars which we do not need. The proposed apartments assume only one out of two properties will have a car. This is a complete underestimate as Buxton I'd a rural community with underdeveloped transport links. Who exactly are the assumed tenants? The developer is pushing up the number of apartments. They will be too dense for this site. ________________________________
