This application differs a lot from the plans shown to the public in 2025 and so has not been consulted on. A significant reduction in car parking will be detrimental to the centre of the town and adversely affect local residents and visitors. Shoppers come to Buxton from many outlying villages not well served by public transport. Current parking is inadequate during special events in the town. I do not think there is the correct mix of housing provision for Buxton - the proposed density of housing is too great for the size of the development. Any increase in traffic along Station Road, with additional exits, will cause increased traffic delays on an already congested route.
